Description

Eiffel Tower Sunset Ornament

Sunsets in Paris never looked so good   using a centuries old process developed in Eastern Europe to magnificently reproduce the French Eiffel Tower at twilight as a glass Christmas ornament.

Each French Christmas Ornament is constructed of molten glass hand-blown into a mold. Once the glass is shaped, it is then silvered. Silvering helps to create a reflective property and depth of color in the ornament. After the Paris ornaments are dry, they are then decorated. Each of these Landmark Creations ornaments is hand-painted. The painting process can take up to 8 hours for a single Paris Eiffel Tower ornament. As they are individually hand-painted, you are guaranteed to receive a unique ornament, as no two will look exactly the same.

We are proud to offer you these Paris Christmas Ornaments, and we are sure they will be cherished in your family for generations.

Measures 5" Tall

History:   The Eiffel Tower was designed by Gustave Alexandre Eiffel for the Paris World Fair in 1889, celebrating the centennial of the French Revolution. At 984 feet high, the Eiffel Tower was the world's tallest building until New York's Chrysler Building was erected in 1930. Faced with this record-breaking height, elevator   engineers installed parachutes as emergency brakes. Cautious visitors could always just take the stairs instead,   provided they didn't mind climbing 1,665 of them. Three levels of observation decks allow visitors to have Paris truly at their feet. Despite   its relatively hollow appearance, the tower also holds a weather station, a   restaurant and a surprisingly cozy apartment used by Monsieur Eiffel himself. Since its opening day, the Eiffel Tower has been   visited by 180 million people who wish to pay homage to this unforgettable landmark.
